Ryan Dillight is a 7th-generation Texan who decided to leave the sweltering summers behind in 2017 and head to the lush landscape that is Portland, Oregon. Growing up, Ryan learned his love of plants and hard work by helping on his family’s small farm and his grandparents’ ranch. While he’s left Texas in the rearview, he didn’t leave his love of getting his hands dirty. Along with his wife, Ryan has turned his own yard into a high-production garden featuring vegetables, fruit, wildflowers and cut flowers — a true urban oasis.       

After several years as a licensed real estate agent, Ryan quickly realized  that one of the most overlooked parts of a house (and one of the most overwhelming for homeowners) was the yard. As an active realtor, when listing homes for sale and when providing after-purchase support, Ryan has helped clean, stage and reimagine outdoor spaces for clients. He’s found a love of doing this kind of hands-on, often dirty, yet rewarding work, and would like to offer these services to his community.
